FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA, GA—August 24, 2011 (James Street Media Services)—Railserve, the leading North American provider of in-plant rail switching and associated services in the United States and Canada, has joined with Engine, Fuel and Emissions Engineering, Inc. (EF&EE) to identify and apply for federal and state grants available to buyers of the Railserve LEAF® Gen-Set Locomotive.

“We’ve seen interest rise in our green switching locomotive and we’ve also learned that many potential buyers need assistance in identifying and obtaining the grants that are available for purchasing these cleaner and more efficient units,” says Timothy J. Benjamin, president, Railserve.

To help customers sort through the complexities of finding and applying for federal and state grants, Railserve has teamed up with EF&EE, which has substantial expertise in this area. “We have obtained or been involved in securing grant money for green locomotives in Texas, California and elsewhere,” notes EF&EE president Christopher S. Weaver.

Upon the request of qualified Railserve LEAF buyers, EF&EE will identify grant sources for eligible purchasers and either guide them through the application process or complete the applications on their behalf.

The Railserve LEAF reduces NOx emissions by 76 percent and cuts fuel consumption by 50 percent, while meeting EPA Tier III 2015 emissions standards. Developing maximum tractive effort at low speeds, the Railserve LEAF is ideal for in-plant switching locations, shortline railroads, and other industrial services. New Railserve LEAF Gen-Set Locomotives incorporate a modular networked control system providing increased remote and field diagnostic capabilities; simplified installation; reduced cabling; and a more rugged design.
