Midwest Association of Rail Shippers Elects 2016 Officers

CHICAGO—January 26, 2016 (James Street Media Services)—The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) elected its 2016 slate of officers at the annual winter meeting earlier in January.
 
The 2016 MARS officers are:
  • President: Michael Jones, transportation manager, North Dakota Mill, Grand Forks, North Dakota
  • First Vice President: Michael Barth, vice president transportation and logistics, United Sugars, Moorhead, Minnesota
  • Second Vice President: Harry Zander, senior vice president, Element Rail Finance, Chicago, Illinois
Joining the MARS Executive Committee is first-time member Kathy Bathurst, senior account manager, with CSX Transportation in Oak Brook, Illinois.
 
Another record of more than 650 registrations were received for the two-day 2016 Winter Meeting in Lombard, Illinois, where the officers were elected. MARS 2016 Annual Summer Meeting will be held July 11–12 at the Grand Geneva Resort, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. 
 
 
The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) is one of five regional North American associations under the North American Rail Shippers (NARS) national organization.
